Arms Fair

The Christian Peoples Alliance has been among the leaders of opposition to the massive DSEi arms fair, which is held every two years at ExCel exhibition centre.

In a rare display of unity at a Council meeting, Cllr Alan Craig proposed the key motion that set out Newham’s strong objection to the event. It was passed unanimously.

Supporting local churches’ prayer vigils and ELAAF’s (East London Against the Arms Fair) peaceful demonstrations, the Christian Peoples Alliance will continue to campaign against the event on moral, security and disruption-to-the-community grounds.
